Newbury Quakers
Welcome to our Meeting
Our Meeting House is very close to Newbury town centre.
On Sundays, about 15 people meet for Quaker worship. If you arrive early we have a pleasant garden in which to spend time. We always welcome visitors and invite them, if they wish, to introduce themselves to the gathered Meeting. Our Meetings for Worship are, in the main, silent, but anyone may speak as the Spirit moves them.
We always have refreshments and a chat after the Meeting, when you can find out about any planned events, our library, our garden and our activities on behalf of the local community.
Children are always welcome. Do let us know if you are going to bring children, and we'll make sure that there are suitable activities for them.
Newbury Quakers have just signed up to 'Discovering Quakers. To find out more click here.
Details of Meetings for Worship and other upcoming events are in the calendar below. Dates when there is a special Meeting for children in Reading are also shown.
The Meeting House is wheelchair friendly, with an accessible toilet.
We meet on Sunday mornings from 10.30 - 11.30 am
During Meeting for Worship, we offer:
* A place where you can be still.
* An opportunity to increase your spiritual awareness.
* A community of friendship and support
* Resources to engage with the world.
We welcome you to our new refurbished Meeting House!
We have refreshments and social time afterwards.
