‘The Big One’
“The climate, nature and humanity face disaster. We know it’s time to act. Do you trust politicians to do the right thing for us? For he planet? (Extinction Rebellion)”
Quakers from Meetings across Britain, including Reading and Wallingford, responded to the invitation to unite and survive at ‘The Big One’ – four days of action, where around 100,000 people, gathered throughout Westminster and at the Houses of Parliament.
The streets were transformed with People’s Pickets outside government departments and a diverse programme of speakers, performers and workshops, abashed with colour and culture. There was art and music, talks from experts, places to listen and engage, and activities for kids.
