In sickness and in health
Quakers in Reading welcomed Richard Bentley, Royal Berks Hospital Buddhist and Humanistic Chaplain, to Meeting for Worship and to give a talk on his work in healthcare.
Richard leads on the Compassionate Companions Programme supporting end of life patients, and works closely with the Palliative Care Team at the hospital.
Alongside his own sound arts practice, he develops and manages arts in health programmes for the local NHS Trust and has particular expertise in contemplative listening and sound practices for health and wellbeing.
