A chance to visit our historic Meeting house and art exhibition, as part of Reading’s heritage open day, Saturday 14th September, from 2-5pm.

Specific events

2:15pm – talk about Quakers in Reading

3:00pm – drinks and cake

3:30pm – local Quaker writers read their work

Heritage Open Days celebrate their 25th anniversary this year, with the theme of ‘People Power’.  Our exhibition of art, craftwork and writing is called ‘Our Life is Love’ – a phrase from the writings of the 17th century Quaker Isaac Pennington. The event is free and open to everyone.
