A chance to visit our historic Meeting house and art exhibition, as part of Reading’s heritage open day, Saturday 14th September, from 2-5pm.

Specific events

2:15pm – talk about Quakers in Reading

3:00pm – drinks and cake

3:30pm – local Quaker writers read their work

Heritage Open Days celebrate their 25^th anniversary this year, with the theme of ‘People Power’. Our exhibition of art, craftwork and writing is called ‘Our Life is Love’ – a phrase from the writings of the 17^th century Quaker Isaac Pennington. The event is free and open to everyone.
