Friendship and enjoyment
Young Adult Friends (YAF) in Oxford hosted a Regional Meeting of Quakers.
We came together as a community from Meetings across five counties, and centred around the day’s theme: Friendship and Enjoyment – How do you sustain a community?
After breakfast and worship, four YAF’s discussed their experiences with Quakerism, faith-based communities, and from within their group.
They gave the older Quakers and opportunity to ask questions and share insights.
We heard about their experiences of engaging with Quaker heritage and our United Nations Summer School.
After-lunch discussion workshops were followed by a comedy skit (which took a humorous look at Quaker short-comings) and ended our day with a barn-dance.
