Back at Meeting House!

On Sunday May 30th, Newbury Quakers had our first Blended Meeting. About five of us were on Zoom and ten Friends in the Meeting House. It worked well and we were grateful for those who installed the equipment that was needed. Of course it was quite a mile stone for Friends to meet in person after such a long year when we could only meet on Zoom. One Friend said: “I felt such joy in my heart to be back in that room and to be held again in a place of love and acceptance.” Another Friend who had not been able to meet with us at all f during this time due to her age of 105 came along (in pink top) and she told me how happy she was to be back at the Meeting House among Friends. ‘I was really pleased!!
So we hope to continue with Blended Meetings once a month. The next ones will be on June 27 and July 25.
