‘A peculiar people, known by the world as QUAKERS…’

Reading Quakers opened their late Georgian Meeting House and Burial Ground to the public today as part of the Heritage Open Days.

Over 40 visitors enjoyed the quiet simplicity of this oasis in the middle of our large town, looked through our heritage exhibition, and discussed our enduring faith with local Quakers.

We also directed visitors towards the many other places open in Reading as part of this annual historical event.
