Silent Garden Opening October 12th
Quakers in Henley are opening their garden to Silent Space on Saturday October 12th between 2-4pm. The garden is behind the Quaker Meeting House, 45 Northfield End, RG 9 2JJ. This event is free and open to all.
Visitors to the Quaker Garden will be invited to sit or wander round for as long or short a time as they wish. With phones switched off, the silence will allow us all to listen to the sounds of the garden and enjoy its simple beauty without interruption.
Silent Space is a charity which encourages people to take time out to be quiet in nature. For Quakers, silent attention is an integral part of our weekly meetings, which is why we are opening our garden in this way. We know from experience that silence, especially with others, can rest and restore us, amid the busyness of life.
If there is heavy rain, the Silent Space will be postponed for another day; we hope it will be one of many.
All will be welcome to join us in our beautiful garden.
