The Bundle – a review
Journeymen Theatre crafted a powerful play from the real experiences of a Chechen asylum seeker and her children. I was impressed at how the two actors, with minimal props and costume changes were able to portray a varied cast of characters, and saddened by the knowledge that this was not fiction. We now live in a country that deliberately creates a hostile environment (I learnt that this is the term used by the home office) for desperate people in need of Asylum.
The Bundle was commissioned by QARN (Quaker Asylum Seeker and Refugee Network) at performed at Reading Quakers on 27 October 2017.
